The Houthi group announced on Wednesday that the United States and Britain targeted Rima province in western Yemen with four airstrikes. The Houthi-affiliated channel "Al-Masirah" reported in a brief urgent news segment that "the American-British aggression targeted the government complex in the Al-Jabin district of Rima province with four airstrikes." The channel did not immediately provide further details regarding the results of the US-British bombing.
On June 13, the group reported targeting the government complex in Rima with two American-British airstrikes, which resulted in two deaths and nine injuries. "In solidarity with Gaza," which is facing a destructive Israeli war with American support, the Houthis are targeting Israeli or linked shipping vessels in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and Indian Ocean with missiles and drones.
Since the beginning of this year, a US-led coalition has been conducting airstrikes that it claims target "Houthi sites" in various regions of Yemen, in response to the group's maritime attacks, which are occasionally met with retaliation from the group itself. With the intervention of Washington and London and the escalation of tensions in January, the Houthi group declared that it now considers all American and British ships as part of its military targets.
