Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, announced on Thursday, July 25, that the United Arab Emirates has been honored with the opportunity to host the COSPAR 2028 Conference, the largest global gathering focused on space research.
In a post on the "X" platform, he stated: "We are pleased to announce that the UAE has won the opportunity to host the COSPAR 2028 Conference, the most significant global event in the field of space research." He expressed happiness about the UAE winning the bid to host the largest conference in the world specializing in space sciences research, which will take place for the first time in the Arab world.
The conference will gather more than 3,000 researchers, experts, and scientists to present and discuss important scientific research. The UAE has become a prominent destination for the scientific community, reinforcing its position as a hub for fruitful international cooperation.
He concluded by thanking the team at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre for their efforts that led to this significant achievement.
