Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati received the Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon, Saud bin Abdul Rahman bin Faisal Al Thani, where they discussed the political developments and the bilateral relations between the two countries.
Mikati also met with the Norwegian Ambassador to Lebanon, Martin Yatvik, in a farewell visit. Among his visitors was Fadi Almala, head of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the House of Representatives, who stated after the meeting: "I discussed with Prime Minister Mikati the situation in the south, and the reports we received about the damages caused by Israeli aggressions. We also followed up on the donations designated for the displaced from the confrontation villages in the south. Additionally, I raised the issue of passports for Lebanese expatriates, whose return we care about, especially during the summer season, as we have received many complaints about the necessity of obtaining a biometric passport to be able to come to Lebanon. His Excellency indicated that he would present the issue to the General Director of General Security, Major General Elias Bechara, to facilitate the matter."
Additionally, the head of the Association of Banks, Salim Safi, accompanied by the Chairman of the Board and General Director of the Housing Bank, Antoine Habib, visited Prime Minister Najib Mikati today at the Grand Serail. They discussed the general developments in the country, particularly the economic, banking, and financial situations.
