The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division, issued the following statement today, Tuesday: “On 7-5-2024, an unknown individual forcibly broke into a company in Hazmieh and stole $5000. On the same date, a citizen reported an attempted burglary at his home in the Bashar Bridge area - Hazmieh. Following this, the Information Division began its investigations at both crime scenes and discovered that the perpetrator of both incidents was the same person. As a result of inquiries and investigations, the division identified the suspect, named M. D. (born in 1981, Lebanese), residing in the town of Deir Qoubel, who has a prior criminal record for theft.
On 27-5-2024, after careful surveillance and monitoring, one of the division's patrols managed to arrest him in Deir Qoubel and seized a "six-punch" knife from him. During the investigation, he confessed to the accusations against him.
