Title: Egypt: Boxing Coach Accused of Harassing His Female Students

In developments that may turn the case upside down, the lawyer of a famous Egyptian boxing coach accused of sexually assaulting his female athletes revealed new details. Mustafa Magdy, the coach's attorney, explained to "Al-Arabiya.net" that the forensic report cleared him and disproved the claims made by the mothers and players who filed complaints against him.

He added that the mother of one of the players submitted an official complaint to the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, confirming that her daughter and other girls were subjected to harassment for a full year, and sometimes for two years. It was also revealed that the accusations included not only harassment but also physical touching and contact with sexual organs.

The attorney noted that the medical examination of the girl who filed the complaint confirmed the health of her reproductive organs, showing no recent or old tears in the hymen and no injuries between her thighs. He clarified that the decision to renew the coach's detention, despite the forensic report proving his innocence, was due to waiting for police investigations or possible further evidence with the judge indicating external contact by the coach.

He mentioned that the next step in the case is to hear witness testimonies to prove that the girls' accounts are inaccurate, denying any allegations of extortion from the coach towards the players or attempts to coerce them into changing their statements.

It should be noted that this case has captured public attention in Egypt in recent days after the security forces arrested the well-known coach in the "kickboxing" field in the Fifth Settlement area east of Cairo, following a complaint from the family of one girl accusing him of harassment.

Prior to this, the "Speak Up" initiative's page on Facebook and Instagram, which is a feminist initiative supporting victims of violence and harassment, published details of the incident, aiding the girl’s family in filing the complaint. The coach is accused of harassing girls aged 13 to 18 and threatening them if any of them attempted to speak about what happened during training. He reportedly convinced the girls that they were complicit in the wrongdoing, according to claims made by the "Speak Up" initiative. Meanwhile, the relevant investigative authorities decided to detain the coach for 15 days pending investigations into the accusations of harassment and the assault of minors.
