A force from the Iraqi army and the Hashd executed a joint security operation against several targets in western Anbar province today, Monday. A statement from the Hashd media mentioned that Qasim Muslih, the commander of Hashd operations in Anbar, said that "after receiving information regarding suspicious movements of vehicles and individuals in the operational sector, we carried out a joint mission, involving (the first regiment of the 13th Hashd Brigade) and (the 19th Brigade of the fifth Iraqi Army Division). This consisted of raiding and searching several areas south of the international road in western Anbar."
Muslih added that "the operation yielded good results, successfully distancing some shepherds from areas adjacent to security forces and the international road." He pointed out that "this operation is part of ongoing efforts to enhance security and combat terrorism in the region, which occasionally witnesses movements of terrorist elements."
