In a significant humanitarian gesture, the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, visited Lebanese artist Samira Tawfiq. Lina Radwan, the niece of the singer Samira Tawfiq, shared a photo of her aunt welcoming Sheikh Abdullah at the artist's villa, describing the visit as "from the heart." Radwan wrote: "Bless our home, and Samira Tawfiq's villa has been blessed by the visit of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He is the son of the esteemed household rooted in loyalty to the late great Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan, may God have mercy on him, and Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Mother of the Emirates, who is deeply rooted in love, loyalty, and giving. This is how their sons, the honorable sheikhs, are."
She pointed out that Sheikh Abdullah has a long-standing relationship with Samira Tawfiq, one that he has never abandoned, even during tough times in Lebanon. "He was young and would see her with esteemed family members in Europe and the Emirates, creating beautiful memories," she noted. "His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed was the one who supported us during the difficult period of COVID-19 and mobilized his office for the safety of Samira Tawfiq during that time. We are all proud to be under the care and guardianship of Samira Tawfiq; she was and continues to be under his protection in Cleveland, Abu Dhabi."
Radwan continued, "What a beautiful gathering filled with love, grand in the honorable guest and his companions. He is not just a guest but part of the land that embraces people from all corners of the world. May God protect you, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah, and guide your steps. You are the sons of the late great Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan, and it is in your character to uphold dignities."
She added, "May God protect you and our President, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who has alleviated the burdens of his people and extended his generosity to all afflicted countries. You are the pride and determination, and the Emirates has become our land through your love, honoring all people without discrimination. May God protect you and bless your steps... This visit is from the heart, and our love for Sheikh Abdullah is as vast as the sea."
