Phosphorus Bombing in the South... Hezbollah Targets Israeli Army Vehicle in Metula

The escalation continues in the south between Hezbollah and Israel. In the latest field developments, Hezbollah announced the destruction of a military vehicle belonging to the Israeli army at the Metula site. Hezbollah stated, "We targeted a military vehicle of the enemy at the Metula site and we inflicted casualties among those inside."

The Israeli army had previously targeted the town of Khiyam and the Marjeyoun plain with artillery and phosphorus shelling, according to the National News Agency. The forests in the town of Kafr Kila were also targeted, causing fires to break out. The Israeli forces also conducted a sweep using machine guns towards the town from their position in Metula.

There were reports of an Israeli airstrike targeting the outskirts of the town of Ramia, along with recorded artillery shelling on the outskirts of the town of Dhahira in the western sector. In addition, hostile reconnaissance drones hovered over the city of Tyre and its villages, particularly Abbasiyah, Deir Qanoun al-Nahr, Tura, and the southern coast. The drones also surveyed the skies over southern Litani, north of Tyre.

The town of Khiyam was subjected to hostile artillery and phosphorus shelling, targeting the eastern neighborhood, the area around the Mabratu School, the chalet area, reaching the Marjeyoun plain.

Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee wrote on his "X" account: "Warplanes have recently attacked a military building and a monitoring point belonging to the terrorist organization Hezbollah in the Khiyam area." He added, "Earlier today, warplanes targeted a military building belonging to Hezbollah in the Ramia area in southern Lebanon." He concluded, "Israeli army forces also shelled the Alama al-Shaab area in southern Lebanon."

Meanwhile, it was reported that an anti-tank missile was fired from Lebanon towards the Israeli settlement of Metula, resulting in several injuries, including serious ones, according to Channel 14 in Israel. Israeli media reported five injuries in "Metula" due to anti-tank fire from Lebanon.

Hezbollah announced in a statement that "after careful monitoring of the Israeli enemy forces at the Metula site, and upon spotting a military vehicle moving in the vicinity of the site, after it reached the ambush point, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance targeted it with guided missiles and hit it directly, leading to its destruction and inflicting casualties among those inside."
