Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced, "In recent weeks, we have dealt direct blows to Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis," stating, "Yesterday, we killed the deputy secretary-general of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, who was responsible for the attacks in the north on our citizens." He confirmed, "We will settle accounts with anyone who touches us or commits massacres against our people," adding, "Anyone who attacks Israel has their blood valid." Netanyahu emphasized that he would not yield to pressures, saying, "If I had yielded, we would not have killed Hamas officials or controlled the Philadelphi route and the Rafah crossing." He stressed, "I have not and will not yield to any pressures to stop the war. We will not remain silent about the suffering of the residents in the north." He explained that "Israel is ready for all possibilities." This comes after Hamas and Iran announced on Wednesday morning the assassination of Hamas' political bureau chief, Ismail Haniyeh, in an Israeli raid targeting his residence in Tehran, following his participation in the inauguration ceremony of Iran's new president, Masoud Bezhakian. Additionally, Israel announced on Tuesday the assassination of prominent Hezbollah leader Fouad Shukr in an airstrike that targeted a residential building in the capital, Beirut.
