Fire Breaks Out at Fuel Depot in Russia Targeted by Ukrainian Drone

A Ukrainian drone targeted a fuel depot in Russia on Friday, resulting in a fire, according to a Russian regional governor, who added that the strike occurred hundreds of kilometers from the border. The governor of the Tambov region in central Russia, Maxim Egorov, reported that the attack took place at 4:35 AM local time (1:35 AM UTC). He stated on the Telegram app that "a small fire broke out and was brought under control. There are no casualties." Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the "interception" of 25 Ukrainian drones overnight, without mentioning the Tambov region. In the western Bryansk region, Governor Alexander Bogomov reported that a drone was shot down, but its debris "partially destroyed the roof of an administrative building." Ukraine, facing an ongoing Russian attack for more than two years, has been conducting repeated strikes against Russian energy and defense sites in response to attacks on its territory.
