The statement continued: "The leaderships extend their greetings and appreciation to the heroic resisters on the Lebanese front who confront the enemy daily, salute the steadfast people in their villages, and the displaced who have documented, and continue to document, all forms of support and embrace for the resistance and its fighters... The leaderships call on the government, with all its ministries and institutions, to take action in support of the people of the south and fulfill its duties to stand with them and provide all the types of assistance they need, whether health, social, developmental, relief, or reconstruction, especially for the steadfast families in the confronting villages or the displaced... praising the great hospitality they have received, which was demonstrated in all the cities and villages where they became honored guests."
The statement further noted: "On the local political front, the leaderships of the Amal Movement and Hezbollah called on the political parties in Lebanon to take a good reading of the initiative previously launched by the Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Nabih Berri, which he announced on the anniversary of the disappearance of the Imam leader, Sayyid Musa al-Sadr, and his companions, in which he called for dialogue and sitting at one table for consultations and consensus."
The statement concluded: "As the month of Muharram approaches, the month of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), the leaderships call upon the Husseinis and supporters of Abu Abdullah al-Hussein (peace be upon him) to commemorate this great occasion and what it carries of meanings, lessons, and morals by holding Ashura gatherings in every neighborhood, street, village, and city, which have been and will always remain a source of inspiration for supporting the oppressed against all oppressors. The leaderships emphasize the coordination and integration in commemorating this eternal and sorrowful memory in all regions, showcasing the rituals of grief and affirming absolute loyalty to Abu al-Ahrar, the Master of Martyrs (peace be upon him)."
