The National Center of Meteorology in Saudi Arabia, in its weather report for today, Saturday, predicts that the effects of active winds stirring dust and sand will continue in parts of the Medina and Mecca regions, extending along the coastal road to the Jazan region, as well as in parts of Najran. There remains a chance for thunderstorms accompanied by active winds in parts of the Jazan and Asir regions. High temperatures are expected to persist in parts of the Eastern region.
The report also notes that the surface wind movement on the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly at a speed of 12-38 km/h in the northern part, and southwesterly to westerly at 10-30 km/h in the central part, and southwesterly to northwesterly at 15-45 km/h, potentially exceeding 50 km/h with the formation of rainy thunderclouds in the southern part. Wave heights are expected to range from half a meter to one and a half meters in the northern part, from half a meter to one meter in the central part, and from one to two meters, reaching over two and a half meters with the formation of rainy thunderclouds in the southern part.
The sea is expected to be lightly wavy in the central part and lightly to moderately wavy in the northern and southern parts, becoming rough with the formation of rainy thunderclouds in the southern part. Meanwhile, the surface wind movement in the Arabian Gulf will be northwesterly to southwesterly, shifting in the evening to southeasterly at a speed of 10-30 km/h in the northern and central parts, and northeasterly to easterly at 10-25 km/h in the southern part, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to one meter, and the sea condition is expected to be lightly wavy.
