Additionally, the department expressed ongoing concern over the level of escalation between Israel and Lebanese Hezbollah. Earlier today, Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed that the United States is engaged in intensive efforts with Egypt and Qatar to advance President Biden's proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza.
