U.S. State Department: The Time for Bargaining is Over, and It’s Time for a Ceasefire in Gaza

It stated that "the time for bargaining on this matter is over," clarifying that it is working with Egypt and Qatar to bridge the gap between Hamas and Israel regarding the ceasefire proposal. The department reiterated, "The time for bargaining is over, and it is now time to stop the fighting in Gaza," affirming that the United States is continuing its efforts with Egypt and Qatar to address the gap between Hamas and Israel concerning the ceasefire proposal. Additionally, the department expressed ongoing concern over the level of escalation between Israel and Lebanese Hezbollah. Earlier today, Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed that the United States is engaged in intensive efforts with Egypt and Qatar to advance President Biden's proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza.
