Title: Bahaa Hariri: We Are Working to Invest Our International Relations for the Advancement of Lebanon

Bahaa Hariri confirmed during his reception of northern delegations at his residence in the "Miramar" resort that the Taif Agreement is fundamental, and all Arab, Western, and friendly countries to Lebanon agree on this. He emphasized his openness to everyone, stating that there would be no issues with any Lebanese components. He noted that the country’s primary problem began with the four-party alliance, which could have led Lebanon to a civil war.

He mentioned that the Lebanese people have the right to be angry after the situation exploded in 2019, but he urged patience at the same time. He considered the results of the recent parliamentary elections unsatisfactory due to unstudied decisions stemming from public anger and protests, adding that he had warned in the past that we were heading towards a disaster, but he remained silent to avoid being accused of hindering progress.

He expressed that during most of his meetings, he feels the people's pain and unrest, which he had not felt since his father's assassination. He stated that the Sunni community is facing deliberate and significant injustice, and he will strive to lift it out of this reality. His path is known to be one of openness, moderation, and dialogue, but he is not willing to make any concessions at the expense of his community.

He revealed that he would not be in the opposition, as "it's forbidden to strike a dead man," and that his priority would be launching a series of charitable, developmental, and social projects that serve the country and its society. He announced that he will utilize all necessary resources "to achieve a qualitative leap in the healthcare sector by benefiting from the high expertise and success achieved at the Al-Abdaly Hospital in Amman, which possesses high efficiency," confirming that he aims to leverage all his international relations, particularly economic ones, to advance Lebanon and its economy.

He concluded by stating that the "Voice of Beirut International" platform "will return to the forefront strongly as it did upon its launch." The delegations called on Bahaa Hariri to continue the legacy of the martyred President Rafik Hariri, who came to Lebanon and worked to uplift it during a similar period when it was in need of rescue, just as it is today.

The delegations believed that the Sunni community has entered a significant void since the martyrdom of President Hariri, and there is a pressing need for Sheikh Bahaa to fill this gap. They urged the Lebanese state to "provide security for everyone, work for equality among citizens, and achieve justice, especially in state institutions that are suffering due to widespread corruption." They requested that his plan and vision include a provision related to judicial reform, alongside a focus on health, development, education, and culture.

The delegations encouraged him, saying: "Do not despair, keep moving forward with your project and path, and we are with you, as you are the right man in the right place because you have high competence." He welcomed a large delegation of village chiefs from Tripoli led by Mukhtar Fathi Hamza, who conveyed the problems faced by the chiefs in Lebanon generally and Tripoli specifically, while expressing readiness to communicate and cooperate for the benefit of Sheikh Bahaa Hariri and his endeavors. Hariri responded with a phrase his father, the martyred president, frequently said: "Tripoli is the land of loyalty."
