Exclusive sources revealed to Syria TV that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Intelligence raided the presidential palace and abducted officers loyal to al-Shibl on charges of espionage for Israel and the United States. This occurred simultaneously with the helicopter crash of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, leading to a significant and covert conflict between Bashar al-Assad and Tehran that lasted for 40 days. This conflict reached a dangerous stage with an assassination attempt on al-Shibl yesterday afternoon, where she is now in a critical health condition and in a coma.
The "Presidency of the Republic" announced last night that special advisor Luna al-Shibl suffered severe injuries due to a car accident on one of the roads leading to Damascus, confirming information posted earlier by Syria TV. However, the regime did not address the details of the orchestrated incident, as revealed by special sources to Syria TV. The signs of conflict between the regime and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard began after the helicopter crash of President Raisi, escalating into mutual arrests in the Syrian capital affecting officers at the presidential palace.
Among the officers arrested by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Intelligence at the presidential palace were Colonel Jaafar al-Saleh from the Anti-Corruption Committee and Colonel Manhal Suleiman from the Republican Guard (from the Alawite sect). The "Quds Force" intelligence raided the presidential palace in ambulances, claiming they were there to assist the son of Bashar al-Assad, and took the officers to the Revolutionary Guard's headquarters in Sayyida Zainab. A week prior, the "Quds Force" intelligence had detained Major General Muhannad al-Shibl, Luna al-Shibl's brother.
The Syrian presidency clarified details regarding the health situation of advisor Luna al-Shibl, who was involved in the car accident, to the Syrian news agency "SANA". The political and media office of the presidency stated to "SANA" that "the special advisor to the presidency, Luna al-Shibl, was involved in a car accident on one of the roads leading to Damascus yesterday afternoon".
The office commented that the accident "caused the vehicle she was in to veer off course". It further explained that al-Shibl "sustained several blows resulting in severe injuries, for which she was transferred to a hospital in Damascus". It concluded the statement by saying: "It was determined that there was bleeding in the head, necessitating her admission to intensive care for treatment by the specialized medical team".
