Army Commander General Joseph Aoun, along with several senior officers and leaders of major units and independent regiments, attended a live ammunition combat drill in the Al-Aqoura area, carried out by students of the officer training course at the Military Academy. The drill simulated an attack on a terrorist group and the elimination of the threat after the group occupied several sensitive points in the region. Various weapons, including light, medium, and heavy arms, as well as support equipment like helicopters, aircraft, tanks, artillery, and rocket launchers were used during the drill.
At the conclusion of the maneuver, General Aoun congratulated the students for their demonstrated professionalism and enthusiasm, addressing them: "You have proven your worth and have reached this level of professionalism through your efforts and dedication. The Military Academy is the foundation from which you will build your military careers as officers in the units, where you will assume your roles and add value to the army. Remember that the goal is only achieved through hard work and perseverance, and an officer's success is based on their initiative."
He added, "The institution is a trust in your hands, so preserve it to maintain Lebanon. The army is the rock of Lebanon, and you are the rock of the army; I see confidence and steadfastness in your eyes. You are a source of pride for the institution and the nation."
