Visit of a Delegation from the Baalbek-Hermel Associations Union to Hariri

A delegation from the Baalbek-Hermel Associations Union, along with some families from northern Beqaa and villages west of Baalbek, visited businessman Bahaa Hariri at the Park Hotel Chytra in the Beqaa. The Secretary-General of the Union, Marhabe Hamieh, delivered a speech on behalf of the attendees, explaining the region's demands in terms of health, agriculture, and education in the Baalbek-Hermel governorate. Hamieh emphasized that the Baalbek-Hermel area has been experiencing deprivation for decades, as political parties share power and influence away from the interests of the people who lack their natural rights. He mentioned that Baalbek needs all forms of assistance, especially since it is an agricultural and industrial region. He also called for support for public schools and the establishment of new branches of the Lebanese University in Baalbek, Hermel, and Arsal. In conclusion, Hamieh presented a humanitarian work award to Bahaa Hariri in the presence of the Union’s president, Mohammed Jaafar, and the president of the Volunteer Work Association, Natali El-Murr. Hariri, for his part, affirmed his support for all Lebanese regions, stating that he will work to establish offices in every Lebanese area and make all his health and economic resources available to serve the Lebanese people, just as his father, the martyred president Rafik Hariri, did.
