After a technical glitch affected Microsoft's global system today, causing widespread disruptions in airports, banks, and hospitals across the United States and several European and Arab countries, the CEO of the platform "X" mocked the situation. American billionaire Elon Musk posted an update with a laughing emoji in response to a satirical post showing blue screens indicating a global outage caused by a technical issue in Microsoft's system. The post shared by the owner of "Tesla" also featured a man calmly smoking a cigarette, symbolizing the "X" platform that was not affected by the outage.
This came after a series of technical problems on Friday halted operations for airlines, banks, stock exchanges, and television channels worldwide, starting with disruptions in Microsoft's cloud services.
Major American airlines ordered a flight stop on Friday due to communication issues, and other airlines, media outlets, banks, and communication companies worldwide reported disruptions due to internet outages.
For its part, Microsoft announced that it is investigating the issue affecting many Microsoft 365 applications and services. The company confirmed on its Azure cloud service status page that around 6 PM Eastern Time, service was interrupted for some customers in the Central United States, including failures in service management operations and service availability. Microsoft stated that it has identified the cause and is working on a fix, assuring ongoing improvements in services while continuing to shift to unaffected infrastructure.
