Biden Feels Pain and Betrayal

U.S. President Joe Biden is experiencing personal pain and a sense of betrayal due to the abandonment of many members of the Democratic Party, including some senior leaders, as he faces the biggest crisis of his political career, according to NBC News. Sources familiar with the president's thoughts reported that Biden is angry about how the Democratic Party has tried to push him towards withdrawing from the presidential race.

The network noted that many Democratic leaders have secretly expressed doubts about Biden's ability to win a second term against Trump. Former President Barack Obama made only one public comment the day after Biden's disastrous debate against Trump, tweeting, "There are bad debate nights" and speaking of the virtues of his former vice president, but privately he has many doubts and concerns.

No comments have been issued from former President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary, except for a tweet shortly after the debate discussing Biden's achievements during his presidency. Meanwhile, Democratic House Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have all been listening to party members' concerns for weeks and relaying them to Biden and his campaign.

In public, the three leaders have stated their support for any decision Biden makes, but behind closed doors, they haven't urged Congressional Democrats to rally behind Biden or provide guidance on what they should do, according to the network.

A source close to Biden criticized senior Democratic leaders for contributing to Trump's victory in the 2016 election, stating, "Can we all remember for a moment that these people trying to push Joe Biden out are the same ones who literally helped Trump win?"

The source added, "In 2016, Obama, Pelosi, and Schumer pushed Biden aside for Hillary. They were wrong then, and they are wrong now." Since Biden's disastrous performance in the debate against Republican candidate Donald Trump on June 27, pressure has been mounting on him, especially from his Democratic allies, to withdraw from the race for the White House.

In recent days, several Democratic members of Congress have urged him to step down, fearing defeat for their party in the upcoming November elections. The Washington Post revealed on Thursday that Obama informed allies in recent days that Biden's path to winning the next election has significantly narrowed and he believes Biden needs to seriously consider the feasibility of his candidacy.
