The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, declared during the Ashura commemoration: "From the field of Hussein, we say to those who threaten us with death, killing, and war, and want us to remain silent in the face of the injustices perpetrated by the Zionist enemy against Gaza and Southern Lebanon, we say to them the words of Hussein: ‘There is no humiliation for us.’” He emphasized that "the essence of Karbala and Ashura is to stand up for the oppressed in Lebanon and Palestine. We stand with all the peoples in our region who have been attacked by this occupying entity that has threatened and assaulted the area. There are three Arab countries still suffering directly from this killing: Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria."
He added: "Since October 8, we have entered a different phase and are engaged in a different battle; we have announced the opening of a Lebanese support front in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people. What the resistance did in Gaza on October 7 is a full right, and unfortunately, there are still those who belittle the resistance." He confirmed that "if the aggression stops, the party that negotiates on behalf of Lebanon is the Lebanese state, and all rumors about a ready agreement concerning the situation at the southern border are not true. The future of the situation in the south will be determined based on the results of this battle. On our Lebanese front, regardless of the support that the Lebanese state will provide to our people in the villages and the south, we will work together and clearly to rebuild our homes, and we will reconstruct our frontier towns as they were, and even better than before."
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah noted that "our front will not cease as long as the aggression against Gaza continues, and the threat of war will not intimidate us. Ten months ago, when Israel was at its peak strength, suffering neither from a lack of soldiers nor ammunition, our support front will continue as long as the aggression against Gaza persists, and the enemy’s continued targeting of civilians in Lebanon will push the resistance to launch missiles and target new settlements that have not been previously targeted." He stated, "If your tanks come to Lebanon, you will have no tanks left." Nasrallah observed that "for the first time in its history, the Zionist entity is experiencing its worst days. For the first time, they are talking about collapse and disappearance. For the first time, Israel seems incapable, after ten months of fighting, of achieving its objectives and is covering up its failures by committing horrific massacres against children and women."
