Postponement of the Trial of the Gathering Serial Killer to August 13

The Cairo Criminal Court, held in the Fifth Settlement on Thursday, postponed the trial of the Gathering serial killer, accused of murdering three women and disposing of their bodies on the desert road between Cairo, Port Said, and Ismailia, to August 13.

The representative of the public prosecution told the court during the trial that the accused committed a new act that was a greater sin and a greater denial, with the help of his accomplice, who brought him narcotic substances and the victim, Rahma Ahmed, who resembled his wife, Lubna. The accused sheltered her in his home and exploited her poverty and needs despite her good treatment of him, but he only presented her with his deviant desires, lavished her with his wealth, promised her marriage, and engaged in sexual relations with her while she was asleep, taking advantage of her vulnerability.

The public prosecutor added that the Gathering serial killer distanced Rahma from her family and executed his plan during the evening of Ramadan while the devils were chained, and he was free. He gave her narcotic substances.

The public prosecutor indicated that the Gathering serial killer exploited the dire poverty of the victim, Rahma, took her to his apartment, and began using drugs with her, lavishing her with money to engage in sadistic practices while promising her marriage until the day of the tragedy during Ramadan.
