Egyptian security managed to arrest two individuals who caused the delay of an "Air Cairo" flight from Cairo Airport to Saudi Arabia after they opened the plane's door due to the rising temperature inside before takeoff. Investigations revealed that the aircraft's captain discovered a malfunction before the flight began, and while attempting to fix it, the suspects felt the temperature rising and made their way to the emergency door to open it for ventilation, which led to a complete disruption of the aircraft's operations.
"Air Cairo" issued a statement explaining the reason for the delay of its flight from Cairo International Airport to King Fahd Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and apologized to all passengers on board. The company announced on Tuesday that flight number "SM433/434" from Cairo to Dammam was delayed due to the technical malfunction identified just before the aircraft was scheduled to depart at 4 AM today, and they coordinated with all relevant authorities at Cairo International Airport.
