Russia Reveals Innovative Drone Countermeasure Device

Russian media reported that Russian experts have managed to develop a compact handheld device designed for anti-drone operations. A source from the Russian technical design office "Laboratory No. 13" stated, "Our experts have designed a new small device to jam the control channels of drones, called Karman or 'the pocket.' This device can operate independently or can be manually controlled. The device has been developed to be similar in size to a handheld radio, allowing it to fit into a pocket. It has been tested during the special military operation, and we will soon finalize its design and test it again before starting serial production."

The source added, "During recent tests, the device managed to jam an FPV drone flying at a distance of 150 meters and successfully jammed a Mavic drone at a distance of 200 meters. Some adjustments are currently being made to the device based on recommendations provided during the tests." The source noted that the new device will be used by infantry units, artillery units, and army evacuation groups, and it will be developed to operate across frequencies ranging from 700 megahertz to 2.4 gigahertz, making it suitable for various anti-drone mission types.
