Moroccan Gendarmerie Busts Theft Gang

Moroccan royal gendarmerie forces have arrested a gang that was active in sheep theft after several victims filed numerous complaints regarding the theft of their sheep in Ain Chkak and Ain Taoujit. According to special sources for the Moroccan website "Alaam Al-Fass", the owner of a small farm in Ain Taoujit was robbed of a young calf on Thursday night.

The owner of the farm followed the thieves, who were traveling on a three-wheeled motorcycle, until they reached the rural commune of Ain Beyda near Fez. After learning their location, he informed the gendarmerie, who quickly arrived at the scene and arrested the suspects.

The same sources indicated that the suspects are brothers from the Ain Beyda locality and owners of a grocery store. However, after finishing their work, they directly engage in stealing livestock from farms in Ain Chkak, Taoujit, and surrounding areas near Fez, transporting their loot to a garage in Ain Beyda.

The source reported that the gendarmerie managed to seize dozens of heads of livestock, including sheep and cows, and called upon the complainants to identify their stolen animals for their return. The arrested individuals have been placed under the supervision of the public prosecutor for further investigation and will be presented before justice to respond to the charges against them.
