On Sunday, the spokesperson for the Israeli army for Arabic media, Avichai Adraee, revealed the type of missile that hit a football field in the village of Majdal Shams in the Golan, resulting in the deaths of 12 people, as well as the party responsible for directing the attack. Adraee posted on his account on the platform "X" that "field indicators suggest Hezbollah launched a Falak 1 missile toward the Majdal Shams area."
He stated, "There is no other terrorist organization in Lebanon that possesses this type of missile. Hezbollah is responsible for the massacre in Majdal Shams and the killing of children and youths in the football field." He further added, "I can reveal the identity of the Hezbollah field commander who directed the missile launch toward Majdal Shams, identified as Ali Muhammad Yahya, commander of the launch complex in the Shebaa area."
Earlier on Saturday evening, Adraee shared an image he claimed showed the missile's trajectory that fell in Majdal Shams, noting, "From the analysis of operational systems in the Defense Forces, it appears that the missile was launched toward central Majdal Shams from an area located north of the Shebaa village in southern Lebanon. According to reliable intelligence information possessed by the Defense Forces, the terrorist group Hezbollah is behind the launch operation."
Hezbollah denied responsibility for the attack, which resulted in the highest number of casualties in both Israel and the territories it annexed since the onset of the conflict in Gaza.
