The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced that "as part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to combat drug trafficking and promotion in various Lebanese regions, information was received about an unknown individual distributing drugs in Al-Amrousieh and Hayy Al-Sellim. Following this, specialized units commenced field and inquiry procedures to uncover his identity and arrest him. As a result of investigations and inquiries, the Information Branch was able to identify him as: A.K. (born in 2006, Palestinian), wanted by the judiciary for drug-related crimes. One of the wanted individuals who promoted drugs in Al-Amrousieh and Hayy Al-Sellim was apprehended by the Information Branch in the act, and a quantity of drugs was seized.
On July 10, 2024, after thorough observation and surveillance, one of the branch's patrols managed to arrest him in the act in the Dahieh area on a black "Sweit" motorcycle, which was also seized. Upon searching him and the motorcycle, the following was found:
- 14 bags of Joker substance
- 35 bags of hashish
- 3 bags of Salvia.
During interrogation, he confessed to the charges against him regarding his distribution of drugs to several clients while on the motorcycle he was apprehended with. Legal action was taken against him, and he was deposited along with the seized items to the relevant authority based on judicial instructions."
