Title: Drug Dealer Caught in the Act by Beirut Investigation Squad

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: "As part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to apprehend those involved in drug trafficking and promotion in the city of Beirut, information was received by the Beirut Investigation Squad regarding an individual promoting prohibited substances from a vehicle in the Sunday Market area. Following investigations and inquiries conducted by the squad, his identity was established. He was found to be: A. S. (born in 1988, Lebanese).

On 19/07/2024, after surveillance, one of the patrols managed to apprehend him in the act while he was promoting drugs from a Suzuki vehicle in the aforementioned area. Upon searching him and the vehicle, a quantity of drugs intended for promotion was seized as follows:

- 3 transparent bags containing approximately 18.6 g of cocaine

- 3 papers inside containing approximately 2.8 g of cocaine

- 2 plastic containers with cocaine inside

- A transparent box containing cocaine

- A blue grinder, and a tube containing cocaine

- A plastic container likely containing cocaine base

- 3 large transparent bags containing hashish

- A transparent bag containing 7 pieces of hashish, and half a rolled cigarette of the same substance

- 3 bags likely containing crystal meth

- A plastic container with a quantity of crystal meth

- A transparent bag containing marijuana, and 3 bags with approximately 90 g of marijuana

- 2 transparent bags containing narcotic substances

- 112 colored pills

- A transparent bag containing 4 wrapped chocolate pieces, likely narcotic

- A bag containing dried leaves, and another bag with filters

- Half a tablet of unknown type inside a transparent bag

- A scale, two cell phones, and a sum of $10,722

- A transparent bag containing a gold ring, and another bag containing a gold chain and cross, as payments received by (A. S.) from addicts.

Legal action was taken against him, and he was deposited with the seized items at the Ashrafieh Police Station based on judicial instructions."
