Amin Hittit was a former Lebanese military officer with the rank of retired brigadier general, a military expert, and analyst. He attended several military courses in Lebanon, Jordan, Belgium, France, and China, and obtained a diploma in higher military studies after completing a recognized leadership program. He held a PhD in Lebanese state law and served as a commander at the military academy. He led the demarcation of Lebanese borders and oversaw the verification of the Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon in 2000. He published a number of books and legal and political studies and participated in over 50 scientific conferences and seminars.
