The distinguished Ja'fari Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Qabalan stated: "Nothing supersedes the sound of war, which seeks vengeance against Zionist terrorism and American projects that thrive on chaos, destruction, and bloodshed. Fighting in this regard embodies the greatest meanings of patriotism, and the chorus of the gloaters is a disgrace to the nation. Washington has no conscience or humanity, only its exploitative interests and destructive agendas. There must be efforts to emerge from under U.S. influence, and beware of American diplomatic deception that exercises the most severe hypocrisy, as evidenced by the testimony of the leader Mr. Fouad Shukr. What Tel Aviv has done is nothing but an American operational matter with Israeli execution; Israel is a terrorist entity and an American bastard, and Netanyahu’s name will go down in history as the butcher of Tel Aviv."
During his Friday sermon at Imam Hussein Mosque in Burj al-Barajneh, he noted that "today the region is witnessing a moment of martyrdom, the martyrdom of the great leader Mr. Fouad Shukr, and President Ismail Haniyeh. The response must match the deterrence, and playing with the rules of engagement is costly, with fronts heading toward war without rules. The assassination of leaders changes nothing in the equations but rather increases the momentum, presence, and victories of the resistance. Israel will not win its war, and trading in false victories will not benefit it."
Mufti Qabalan addressed "the political forces in Lebanon": "This is a historic moment, and no sanctity exists above national options. Beware of national mistakes, and the most dangerous thing Lebanon should fear is the internal Zionist media. As for gloating over the great martyrs, it only adds to their honor and pride. The resistance will remain strong in its might, pride, and victories, God willing."
