Saudi Air Navigation Services Company and the British NATS Company have signed a collaboration agreement in the field of enhancing airport capacity, continuing their strategic relationship and supporting the achievement of mutual goals. This aligns with the strategy of Saudi Air Navigation Services to prepare Saudi airspace and increase its capacity. The signing was attended by the Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej. Representing Saudi Air Navigation Services was the CEO, Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Zaid, and from NATS, the CEO, Martin Rolfe.
The CEO of Saudi Air Navigation Services emphasized the company's commitment to forming strategic partnerships with global companies and expanding its partnerships to contribute to achieving the ambitious 2030 vision and meeting the objectives of the National Aviation Strategy while accommodating an increase in passenger numbers. He stated, "We at Saudi Air Navigation Services are aiming to tackle a new challenge in raising the capacity of flight runways to meet the growing demands of air traffic and passenger numbers in the Kingdom's airports," confirming that "the runway capacity was increased by 46 percent last year, and we aim to reach a 100 percent increase by 2030."
