On Friday, the Minister of Youth and Sports in the caretaker government, George Kallas, issued circular number 4/1/2024 dated July 31, 2024, aimed at organizing the work of committees for sports games that do not have federations. The circular states: "Pursuant to the provisions of Article 22 of Decree 4481 dated 27/10/2016, which stipulates that 'a committee shall be formed by a decision of the minister based on the proposal of the director general to manage each sport that has no licensed federation due to the lack of the necessary number of associations... The committee's mandate shall automatically end with the conclusion of the Summer Olympic Games, and its mandate shall also automatically end upon the conditions for electing the federation of the sport in accordance with applicable regulations.' In order to organize the files of these committees and to assess their performance in developing the games they are tasked with managing, we inform you of the necessity to submit a renewal request to the ministry for the committee, accompanied by the following documents: - Financial and administrative data for the committee's term. - Judicial records and copies of identification for all committee members. - Training certificates in the specific game for at least three of its members."
