Over the weekend, police and border guard forces arrested a criminal cell hidden in an apartment near Jenin consisting of four suspects linked to the murder that occurred in Kafr Kanna on 21/5/24, where Nasim Hamza was killed.

On the day of the crime, three brothers acting as the assassination crew, along with two other defendants, were tasked with tracking the victim in two separate vehicles and relaying real-time information about the victim's location to the three brothers. After observing the victim enter the mosque, the group prepared to carry out the murder, setting up an ambush nearby. As soon as the victim exited the mosque and entered his car, the murder was executed from very close range. Immediately after the incident, the three brothers fled to the apartment where they had been hiding in Palestinian Authority territory, where they remained until their arrest.

After a month and a half of a covert investigation, during which sufficient evidence was gathered, a special border police unit raided the apartment where they were hiding at the beginning of this month. Three brothers suspected in the murder were arrested after fleeing the crime scene on the day of the incident, along with two others involved in the murder. Investigative materials revealed that a commercial dispute arose between the deceased and the father of the three brothers over the dissolution of a business partnership, prompting the brothers to decide to kill the deceased.
