What is West Nile Fever?

West Nile fever is a disease that spreads in many countries in Africa, America, Europe, and Asia, transmitted through the bites of mosquitoes infected with the virus that causes the illness. Symptoms include fever, headache, muscle pain, and a rash, and in rare cases, it can cause encephalitis or meningitis. To avoid infection, it is advised to stay away from forested areas near water bodies where mosquitoes breed and to apply insect repellent on the skin and clothing.
