The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement today, Saturday: "As part of the continuous follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to track down wanted individuals across various Lebanese regions and arrest them, the specialized units of the Information Branch have managed, through field and investigative follow-up, to identify the location of one of the wanted individuals for drug trafficking, promotion, and use. He is identified as A. M. (born in 2001, Palestinian-Syrian), nicknamed 'Abu Al-Jaj,' who has four judicial warrants for drug-related crimes and is active in this field. On 21-07-2024, after careful monitoring and surveillance, one of the branch's patrols arrested him in an ambush in the area of Tyre, after he attempted to flee and resisted the patrol. Upon searching him, a quantity of hashish was seized. Legal action was taken, and he was detained with the confiscated items based on the instructions of the relevant judiciary."
"Abu Al-Jaj" is wanted for promoting narcotics, and the Information Branch managed to apprehend him in a well-executed ambush despite his resistance. #Security_Forces #Safety_Security— Internal Security Forces (@LebISF) August 17, 2024
