Observatory: 11 Killed in Clashes between SDF and Iran-backed Militants

According to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, 11 civilians were killed in shelling carried out by Iran-linked groups on a village under the control of the SDF in eastern Syria, amidst continuous clashes between the two sides for several days. The observatory reported that "11 civilians," including "6 children," were killed due to "intensive shelling with mortars and heavy artillery from the positions" of local Iran-backed groups in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor on the west bank of the Euphrates River, targeting "the homes of civilians in the village of Al-Dahla." The SDF also reported a similar death toll in a statement. The observatory noted that the number could rise due to the presence of 5 other injured individuals, some of whom are in critical condition receiving treatment in hospitals. According to the observatory, the SDF shelled the Toube area and the towns of Sa'alo, Al-Zabari, and Al-Bolil from its positions east of the Euphrates River with dozens of mortar shells, resulting in injuries to 3 civilians in the town of Al-Bolil.
