UAE Ready to Host Youth Volleyball West Asia Championship

The director of the second West Asia Youth Volleyball Championship, Awad Al-Mansouri, confirmed the successful arrival of participating teams today, Wednesday, except for the Syrian team, which informed them of its arrival tomorrow, Thursday. The championship for players born in 2005 will take place at the Al Ain Club hall from August 15 to August 25. The event will feature the participation of 9 teams: UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria. The technical meeting for the championship will be held after the arrival of all participating teams.

Al-Mansouri stated in a statement to the Emirates News Agency that the courts of the UAE University in Al Ain have been designated for the teams' training, and all necessary measures and arrangements have been made to ensure its success, enhancing the UAE's leading position in hosting and organizing sports events. He added that the championship contributes to empowering Emirati administrative and refereeing staff, developing their capabilities through participation in managing and organizing international sports tournaments. He revealed that 3 hotels in Al Ain have been allocated for the accommodation of the teams and referees, and several committees have been appointed to welcome participants at Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah airports, noting that they are awaiting final confirmation of Yemen's participation.
