Sheikh Salem Al-Rafie expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the youth, organizations, and associations that congratulated him on his appointment as the President of the Muslim Scholars Association in Lebanon. He praised the positive communication demonstrated by youth from various regions in support of the mission of advocacy, charity, development, and human rights as part of the association's leadership.
Al-Rafie asserted that this responsibility is a mandate through which he will work to strengthen the spirit of cooperation and integration on both Islamic and national levels. He stated in a communiqué that his priority will be to enhance the advocacy, awareness, social, developmental, and human rights roles of the Muslim Scholars Association in collaboration with the Dar Al-Fatwa as the main authority, as well as with parliamentary blocs, political parties, and security forces to promote civil peace, stability, and solidarity in order to alleviate the impact of the collapse affecting the state and putting the Lebanese people under the burden of poverty and deprivation of basic life necessities.
Sheikh Al-Rafie emphasized the importance of full openness and integration with Christian religious authorities based on shared moral values and collaboration in the development and service of humanity, noting the significant need for such cooperation in facing the social issues plaguing the community, from deviance to drug problems and other dangers that must be confronted together.
He concluded his statement by addressing greetings and appreciation to all components of Lebanese society in general, especially those in Tripoli, and specifically to professional syndicates, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, civil society associations, and skilled individuals in all developmental, economic, educational, cultural, media, and human rights fields, announcing his desire to cooperate and consolidate efforts to achieve justice, fairness, development, and moral and social fortification for all Lebanese.
