In Britain, Thousands of AstraZeneca Vaccine Recipients Demand Massive Compensation

Recent figures show that nearly 14,000 people in Britain have applied for payments from the government for alleged damages caused by COVID-19 vaccines. Data obtained by the Telegraph through freedom of information requests reveals that financial compensations have already been granted for cases including strokes, heart attacks, severe blood clots, spinal cord inflammation, and facial paralysis.

The British newspaper noted that approximately 97% of individuals who applied for compensation were vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine, with only a few compensations paid for damages related to Pfizer or Moderna. Since the establishment of the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme (VDPS) in 1979, there have been around 16,000 claims, but COVID-19 vaccines have constituted the overwhelming majority of these claims.

More than 5,500 claims have been rejected, while another 519 were dismissed before a medical assessment was conducted. Despite nearly 1,000 individuals requesting a reconsideration of their cases, only 12 have been informed that they will receive compensation. It is noteworthy that despite warnings and the increasing number of clotting cases, the UK government continued to recommend the AstraZeneca dose, even as vaccination campaigns were halted in Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Latvia by March 2021.
