28 visitors were killed in a bus overturn accident on Tuesday evening in Yazd province, central Iran. The bus, which was carrying 53 Pakistani visitors, caught fire in front of the Dehsheer police station in Taft city, Yazd province.
The Yazd province emergency organization announced that "this traffic accident occurred around 10 PM local time (6:30 PM GMT), and the bus was carrying 53 people." They added, "28 people died while 23 others were injured in this incident."
They clarified that rescue teams are working to extract the remaining injured and bodies from the bus, and there is a possibility that the number of casualties may increase. The bus was traveling from the eastern borders of Iran in Sistan and Baluchistan towards the Chazabeh border in Khuzestan.
