# Iraqi Armed Factions Announce Striking Vital Target in Eilat

Iraqi armed factions announced today, Wednesday, that they targeted a vital objective in Eilat yesterday evening, Tuesday. The factions stated in a press release: "Continuing with our approach to resist occupation, in support of our people in Palestine, and in response to the massacres committed by the occupying entity against Palestinian civilians including children, women, and the elderly, the Islamic resistance fighters in Iraq targeted a vital objective in occupied Eilat using unmanned aerial vehicles." The statement added: "The Islamic resistance confirms the continuation of operations to strike the enemy's strongholds at an escalating pace."

In May, the Islamic resistance in Iraq announced targeting a vital objective in Eilat with armed drones. The armed factions stated in a release: "Continuing with our approach to resist occupation, in support of our people in Gaza, and in response to the massacres committed by the occupying entity against Palestinian civilians including children, women, and the elderly, the Islamic resistance fighters in Iraq targeted a vital objective in Eilat (Um al-Rashrash) on our occupied lands yesterday evening using unmanned aerial vehicles."

The Islamic resistance in Iraq has claimed responsibility for dozens of missile attacks and drone strikes against U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria, as well as targets in Israel since the war in Gaza erupted on October 7. Israel does not officially comment on the attacks for which Iraqi armed factions claim responsibility.
