U.S. Intelligence Chief Announces Revocation of Security Clearance for Former President Joe Biden

The Director of U.S. National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, announced the revocation of security clearance for former President Joe Biden and the cancellation of access to classified information for several notable figures from the previous administration.

In a post on the "X" platform, Gabbard wrote: "Under the directives of President Donald Trump, I revoked the security clearance of former President Joe Biden and rescinded the clearances and access to classified information for Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Fiona Hill, and Alexander Vindman."

**Affiliations with Biden or Criticism of Trump**

It is worth noting that the individuals mentioned in Gabbard's post either worked in former President Joe Biden's administration or have been vocal critics of President Donald Trump, categorized as follows:

- **Elizabeth Cheney and Adam Kinzinger**: Both former members of the U.S. House of Representatives, known for their continuous criticism of President Donald Trump.

- **Fiona Hill**: Former director for Russia affairs at the U.S. National Security Council and a distinguished expert in international affairs.

- **Alexander Vindman**: A retired U.S. Army officer who previously served as a director at the National Security Council and played a prominent role in the investigations into Trump's impeachment.

This decision follows a previous move by the Trump administration to revoke access to classified information for Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, and members of Joe Biden's family, citing alleged misconduct or practices that might threaten national security.

Gabbard previously announced the cancellation of security clearances for 51 intelligence agents who signed a "misinformation" letter related to Hunter Biden's laptop.

**"You’re Fired"**

Earlier in March, she also stated that under Trump's guidance, she had revoked access to classified information for former U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and the former National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

On February 7, U.S. President Donald Trump restricted Biden's access to classified information with the phrase "Joe, you’re fired," barring him from receiving daily intelligence briefings.

It is customary for former U.S. presidents to receive intelligence briefings to enable them to advise current presidents on national security issues and foreign policy.

In 2021, President Joe Biden revoked Trump's security clearance, who was then a former president, and U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth last month canceled personal security details and the security clearance of retired General Mark Milley, the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
