As the U.S. military operations against the Houthi militias in Yemen continue, Iranian-backed Houthi media reported on Tuesday evening that American bombings targeted the city of Hodeidah in western Yemen and Saada in the north of the country. Reports also mentioned an American bombardment on the city of Al-Mansuriyah to the east of Hodeidah and airstrikes targeting sites on Kamaran Island off Hodeidah.
Additionally, Houthi media reported two American airstrikes on locations east of the city of Saada.
#### High-Impact Bombs
Sources from Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath reported that high-impact bombs targeted Houthi positions in Hodeidah and Saada, noting that an American air raid hit a Houthi barrack located in the Water Corporation building in Al-Mansuriyah district, east of Hodeidah. It was further reported that American airstrikes targeted a Houthi training camp in Mashrafa, within the Wasab area. Four airstrikes targeted Houthi locations north of Bait Al-Faqih district, with continuous American aerial flights over the skies of Hodeidah and Saada cities.
#### American Drone
Earlier in the day, the Houthis claimed to have downed an American drone in the Marib province. The Houthi military spokesman, Yahya Sarei, announced the downing of an MQ-9 drone in a recorded video message, stating that the drone was hit by an appropriately made local missile. In contrast, the U.S. military acknowledged the reports of the Reaper drone’s downing to the Associated Press, without providing further details.
#### Highest Monthly Casualty Report
Moreover, at least 89 Houthi members, most of them officers, were killed in U.S. airstrikes over the past month, marking the highest monthly casualty report in over a year. According to statistics published by the media platform Yemen Future, a total of 89 Houthis died in American airstrikes across several provinces under the group's control in March 2025.
The Houthi-affiliated Saba agency reported that the group held burials for these members in the capital, Sana’a, and in the provinces of Sana’a, Taiz, Hajjah, Al-Bayda, Hodeidah, and Al-Dali’ under their control, on almost a daily basis, with the highest numbers on the 19th and 25th of the month, burying 16 officers each day.
#### 93% Increase
The agency did not specify the time and place of the deaths, referring instead to their falling in encounters with Yemeni forces and U.S. airstrikes. The casualties among the Houthis last month represent a 93% increase compared to the previous month (February 2025), which saw the group losing 46 members. This is the highest monthly toll announced by the group since January 2024, when they acknowledged 90 casualties among their ranks. The statistics showed that about 90% of the Houthi deaths last month were field commanders holding senior military ranks, including two brigadiers (one serving as the assistant commander of the Houthi’s fourth military region), four colonels, two majors, 18 captains, 11 lieutenants, 36 lieutenants, seven assistants, and nine individuals without ranks.
It is noteworthy that the total number of Houthi casualties acknowledged since the beginning of the current year, due to clashes with Yemeni forces and U.S. airstrikes, stands at 205.
