Early Friday morning, Houthi forces launched a series of missile and drone attacks targeting both civilian and military sites in the city of Marib, according to sources reported by Al Arabiya.
Sources indicated that the bombardment concentrated on the northern part of the city.
The sources further confirmed that the communication networks 'Yemen Mobile' and 'You' have been down since Thursday evening in Marib and Western Hadhramaut's Al-Abr area following Houthi attacks on army positions in Rweik and Thaniya, as well as the headquarters of the 23rd Brigade which resulted in dozens of casualties.
Earlier, the Joint Operations Command of the Yemeni Armed Forces announced that 17 soldiers and officers were killed and others injured due to an attack by Houthi forces on Thursday using ballistic missiles and drones, targeting military sites in the provinces of Hadhramaut and Marib.
