Explosion in Jaramana Bus Increases Injuries to 14, One Suspect a Hidden IED

The Directorate of Health in Damascus announced on Thursday that the number of injuries has risen to 14 following an explosion targeting a passenger bus, known as "service," at the intersection of Al-Rawdah in the city of Jaramana, located in the rural outskirts of Damascus.


According to preliminary information, the explosion occurred inside the bus, with a security source suggesting it was likely caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) planted within.


The source confirmed that specialized security agencies have initiated investigations to uncover the details of the incident and identify those responsible. Meanwhile, emergency teams and specialized units have been mobilized to manage the site and transport the injured.


This incident occurs amid ongoing efforts by Syrian security services to address issues of bombings and security attacks, reinforcing security measures in residential areas and around the capital, Damascus.
