The Turkish presidency stated that the visit will focus on bilateral relations between Ankara and Riyadh, along with discussions on key regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Additionally, RT's correspondent in Turkey indicated the possibility of a trilateral summit involving leaders from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan on the sidelines of the visit, though no official announcement has confirmed this as of yet.
The visit follows a phone conversation between Erdogan and the Saudi Crown Prince, where the two leaders explored ways to strengthen bilateral relations and discussed developments in the region.
During the call, the Turkish president condemned the attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and expressed Ankara's solidarity with Riyadh. He also welcomed the initiative of creating a multinational maritime defense coalition led by Saudi Arabia, expressing hopes for its success in enhancing maritime security and regional stability.
