The Syrian General Directorate of Border Crossings and Customs has reported that approximately 625,000 travelers have crossed the Jusiya border with Lebanon since the beginning of the year. This includes individuals both entering and leaving Syria, amidst an active movement at the crossing, as reported by Syrian Television.
According to the Syrian TV report, the Directorate emphasized that the staff at the crossing continue to provide services to travelers, aiming to expedite transaction processes and ensure a smooth flow of entry and exit.
The Directorate further noted that during the same period, about 150,000 Syrian citizens voluntarily returned to the country via Jusiya, with facilitated entry procedures and essential services provided to accommodate their organized and safe return.
The figures recorded at the Jusiya crossing coincide with active movement through the Jdeidat Yabous border crossing with Lebanon, which has seen approximately 1.7 million travelers moving in both directions since the beginning of this year.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) previously announced that approximately 1.3 million Syrians returned to their areas in the previous year, 2025, marking a threefold increase in returnees compared to 2024.
