Trump Questions Netanyahu's Political Future Amid Election Speculation

U.S. President Donald Trump has sparked questions about the political future of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his chances of running in the upcoming Knesset elections.

In a report published by ABC News on Tuesday, Trump commented on Netanyahu, stating, "He has had an incredible career. Does he want to continue? Because, as you know, he is a wartime Prime Minister."

Trump added, "We will win the war very soon one way or the other, and, as you know, he is a wartime Prime Minister."

He continued, "That's okay, just as I'm a wartime President."

The American President recently spoke to Israel's Channel 12 about a conversation he held with Netanyahu concerning the tensions between Israel and Iran.

Trump remarked, "I told Bibi, you'd better be careful with what you're doing because you might be left alone facing Iran very soon."

On Sunday, Trump urged Netanyahu to avoid launching a strike on Iran in response to the recent Iranian missile attack on Israel. That conversation ended without a clear agreement, and Netanyahu has not communicated his final decision on the matter to Trump, according to a report by Channel 12 on Monday.

Trump also told the Financial Times on Sunday that Netanyahu "will have no choice" but to accept a deal with Iran.

Trump stated, "I am the one who makes the decisions. I am the one who makes all the decisions." He added, "He does not make the decisions," continuing, "Together, we will bring security to the north."

On Monday evening, Netanyahu released a pre-recorded video statement confirming that he is in contact with Trump but did not elaborate on the details of those communications.
