On the occasion of the Islamic New Year, President Joseph Aoun extended his warmest congratulations to all Lebanese, particularly Muslims, wishing them a year filled with prosperity and safety. He expressed his hopes for this year to bring peace and security to Lebanon and its people.
Aoun remarked, “This blessed occasion arrives at a time when Lebanon faces intricate and exceptional circumstances, and our regional area is experiencing rapid developments and challenges that require our utmost awareness and responsibility. Now more than ever, we are called upon—using a uniquely exemplary approach—to solidify our national unity, support state institutions, and strengthen our humanitarian and national solidarity to protect Lebanon's sovereignty, security, and stability.”
He added, “We hope that recent developments will end the suffering of our people, liberate our occupied lands, and aid us in achieving the dignity and peace of mind that Lebanese citizens aspire to. Happy New Year.”
