Southern Pumping Station Resumes Operation After Shelling

The Marj al-Khukh pumping station, supplying drinking water to the villages and towns of the Marjayoun district, has resumed operations for only an hour and a half due to the depletion of diesel fuel. This comes after nearly two weeks following an Israeli airstrike missile hit the southern wall of the station.

It is expected that quantities of standard-compliant diesel fuel will be secured within the next two days to allow normal operation of the station.

Meanwhile, technical teams from the Electricity of Lebanon Corporation and the Murad Company continue to repair the electrical network damaged by Israeli shelling. Power is expected to be restored to the Marjayoun station, which supplies electricity to both the Marjayoun and Hasbaya regions, after a three-week outage since the latest Israeli incursion in the town of Debbin.
