US Military Concludes Strike Series Against Iran, Reveals Targets

The US military announced on Thursday morning the conclusion of a new series of strikes against Iran, detailing their objectives.

A statement from the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) disclosed that an "additional round of strikes against Iran began on Wednesday night, aiming to undermine Iran's ability to attack commercial ships and innocent civilian sailors in the Strait of Hormuz."

The statement added that "the US forces targeted about 90 Iranian military objectives, including air defense systems, coastal surveillance assets, missile and drone storage sites, naval capabilities, and military logistical infrastructure along the Iranian coast."

These latest strikes follow "a successful execution of offensive strikes in Iran the previous night," according to the US statement.

CENTCOM forces had targeted around 80 Iranian military objectives on Tuesday night, including more than 60 small boats belonging to the Revolutionary Guards, intending to "inflict significant losses on Iran for violating the ceasefire by attacking three commercial ships sailing in the Strait of Hormuz."

The CENTCOM statement concluded: "US forces remain vigilant, robust, and prepared to execute operations directed by the Commander in Chief," referring to US President Donald Trump.

The "Axios" news website reported, citing a US official, that US air forces bombed two railway bridges in Iran, marking the first infrastructure strikes in the country since the ceasefire on April 8.

In response, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced on Thursday that it targeted US military bases in Bahrain and Kuwait, in retaliation for the recent strikes, as per a statement aired by Iranian state television.

Iran's top negotiator and parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, issued a warning to the United States amid the exchange of new strikes, asserting that "any US attack will be met with a similar response."

Ghalibaf, who leads negotiations with the US and is a prominent political figure in Iran, stated on the "X" platform: "If you strike, you will receive a blow."

He confirmed that "the Strait of Hormuz will only open according to Iranian arrangements, not through American threats."

On Wednesday, Trump expressed his belief that the ceasefire is "over," and launched a scathing attack on the Iranian leadership, describing them as "crazy," "evil," and "scum."
